The man himself, the man of the hour, the man that probably should have been up for person

of the year, West Virginia Democratic Senator Joe Manchin.

Boy, you mention that name.

You get two completely different reactions, don't you?

He's either the Christmas angel or he's Scrooge,

depending on which side of the political divide you reside.

That's because this weekend passed, Manchin announced to the shock of everybody, including

Brett Baer, who was the interviewer, that he is a no vote on Joe Biden's build-back better plan,

the most expensive social spending plan in history, by far the most expensive social spending plan in history.

Mansion has been at the center of negotiations on the bill for months, finally came to the

difficult decision that it doesn't make any sense.

If I can't go home and explain it to the people of West Virginia,

I can't vote for it.

And I cannot vote to continue with this piece of legislation.

I just can't.

I've tried everything humanly possible.
