Hour two of the Mark Simone show.

I am Joe Concha filling in for Mr. New York.

You may know me from the Fox News.

I'm a contributor on there and also a frequent guest of this show and station.

And always happy to fill in, particularly when Mark needs a much needed three-day weekend.

When you date as much as he does, even in COVID times, it can be exhausting to a certain point.

2004 me can attest to that.

2021 me, not so much. I've been married for about 10 years now. All good here in Jersey with the wife and kids. They're off this week. Nine straight days again. And I can't even take them outside because it's ice everywhere, cold, 10 inches of snow coming on top of the 20 inches that we still have here later this week. I'm not a happy man. I got to be honest with you. I know I'm supposed to be all like cordial and charming for you guys while you're driving and everything. Not going to happen. All right. I've hit a breaking point. I want to get out of here. But if I go to Florida, I have to come back here in quarantine for two weeks. And then my kids can't go to school for two weeks if I take them with me. So I'm just counting the days down to Memorial Day weekend. I will be at the Jersey Shore in some capacity, the lovely breakers in Spring Lake. And no one can stop me. No one. What do I do, by the way, for a living? Well, I'm a media columnist and political columnist for the Hill.

Right. And people say, well, you ever have writer's block where, you know, you don't really

have anything to write about or talk about? Every day, I can get to everything I want to write

about and talk about because it's happening so frequently now. Our media is effed up in the

worst way. And I don't know how it fixes itself.

I always share this stack, because I find it interesting. Back in 1976, post-Watergate, all right,

gouted as a poll. Do you trust the media? And nearly three and four people said, uh-huh,

yep, we do. Hey, that was the time of Cronkite, right? And mud, and you people said, uh-huh, yep, we do.

Hey, that was the time of Kronkite, right?

And mud and you watch somebody on TV.

You said, okay, I believe this guy or gal?
