And I've advocated for a new Tappancy bridge, a replacement bridge. And to Cuomo's credit,

it was something that he picked up and ran with and did. You know, I always gave him credit for

actually getting it done because many governors had tried or thought about it or studied it,

but no one actually got it across the finish line.

So I always gave Cuomo credit for actually getting the bridge built.

We had our tips definitely along the way about the bridge and how it should be not designed,

but a mass transit component needed to be part of it, and I said it should, and, you know, he kind of equivocated on it, and eventually, after we had a public spat, and I threatened to veto federal funding that he needed, and if I did veto that at this organization's meeting that I sat on at the time, he would not have gotten any loans from the federal government, which would have effectively killed the project.
