And Wilson joins us from Baton Rouge. Wilson, great to have you back. So what a difference

a couple of months make from the end of last season, doom and despair, to optimism. What's going on

down there? Well, LSU has certainly invested in this roster with revenue sharing coming and the funds from the collective.

They've been able to add 16 transfers, and a lot of them are high-level ones, instant impact type of players are certainly expected to be.

They have currently the number one class, transfer class in the country according to 24-7 sports.

And that combined with the retention of guys like

Garrett Nussmeier and Whitweeks and Kate and Durham has given this team some optimism going into next year.

They feel like they can have a defense that is a little bit better than it was last year.

It made some progress in the first year under Blake Baker, but continue to do so, become a more

consistent offense as well.

Brian Kelly, one of the things he told me recently in an interview was we have a football team that now is poised to play with anybody in the SEC we didn't before.

And so there's a lot of optimism growing around what they think they can accomplish this year.
