Yeah, I don't know what's going to snap the Mariners out of this, Brock.

I don't know.

I've been thinking about it since yesterday as they drop another game in Philadelphia.

They drop another series.

That means all three series on this trip.

They will have lost.

And what's going to snap them out of it?

Honestly?

Probably nothing.

I don't mean that they're going to play like this forever.

I just mean that there's not going to be a thing that snaps them out of the slump.

It's just going to happen because it's what's happened with essentially every team in baseball that's in any form of contention this year. They go through

good stretches. They go through bad stretches. And just these wild swings from positive to negative

and back again. And obviously the hope is to minimize the downturns, right?

Steal a game or two when you can like they did in the first game of the road trip in Baltimore

when they, you know, grabbed a one-nothing win, didn't play particularly well, didn't hit

particularly well, but found a way to win one-nothing. You capitalize when you're playing

well, which they did while they were at home and winning as many games as they did.

But I don't think there's like one thing that's just going to turn them around after what has really been a miserable week.

Well, I think two things jump out to me over this extended, difficult, long road trip.
