I just thought he would pull through all this. I don't know. I guess I was being a little naive,

Joe Bartlett, wasn't I? Well, that's a hard, hard win to win when you, you know, stage

four lung cancer. But look, I mean, he battled it. I got to tell you. And the fact that he continued

to work, you have to admire him. Yeah. I don't think anybody said it, but it was smoking. I mean,

he was a lot of cigarettes, tons of cigarettes years ago, nonstop smoking cigarettes and then in later years it was cigars but

constant cigar smoking you know a lot of people think you switch to cigars and you eliminate a lot of

the danger that's not the case i've known that with a lot of people uh just uh everybody in shock

here uh we'll take some calls a little off. We want to talk about Rush.

He wrote a great piece on Rush. He's Australian, and he was back in Australia, meeting with the

Prime Minister, and he said, well, I leave tomorrow he was waiting why are you going back so

fast he said i'm filling in for rush limbaugh and the prime minister of australia said rush limbo you're

going to be on the rush limbo show he was very impressed and he he said to mark stang you know that the

rush limbaugh show has a bigger audience that audience is bigger than the population of Australia, which I didn't realize.

You know, the population of Australia is only like 20 million in Russia.

I think at that time it had 30 million listeners.
