Well, we got lots to get to this hour. Oh, you know, today is June 6th. Today's the day they begin the hearings in Congress on AM radio. The House Communications and Technology Subcommittee will begin the hearings today to examine the role of AM radio following reports that it may be removed in certain vehicles.

Well, first of all, you know, you hear all, I, there was an article I read.

I've told you about this. I read this article, and it's in a big trade magazine, that radio is

dying.

And it's from the June 1966 issue.

So this has been going on for a long time.

Somebody also sent me a newspaper article

about how this is the end of radio.

People aren't going to listen to radio anymore.

It's from 1948.

We're writing this because television was coming along. So this has been going on forever.

And once in a while you get these people, oh, it listens to AM radio. I don't know anybody

that listens to AM radio. Well, it's 83 million people every month, 63 million every day.

That's a lot more than anything else. You know know network tv only has 28 million viewers now network

tv only has 28 million viewers uh cable news has about 11 million viewers cable news all the channels

of cable news 11 million viewers a m radio 83 million people listen to AM radio. I know they'll keep telling

it's fading, it's dying. Hey, look where we are right now. Look at this. We've moved to our

newest studios and look up and down these hallways. There's like 75 studios here. They spent

a fortune. I mean a fortune

building this place. It's a corporation. They don't spend money unless they know they're making

money. They spent a ton of money on this new studio. AM radio is doing just fine. It makes a lot of money.

And it does very well.
