The Savannah Guthrie story is so sad savannah guthrie's mother lives in

phoenix the sister her sister lives near the mother some of the family lives near the mother

they took her out to dinner uh they brought her home dropped her off she went home this was a Saturday night and then

Sunday morning she didn't show up at church which she always does and then neighbors family

everybody got suspicious went to the house and checked she wasn't there no sign of the mother

who's in her 80s and And the mother's very sharp.

No, it's not an Alzheimer's thing or dementia. The mother's as sharp as can be. But not very

mobile. She can't walk more than really 50 feet. Can't really go out on her own. So they

call the police to look for the mother. The police investigate and

it's now believed the mother was taken from her house because everything was left there.

The mother looked, her phone was left, her car keys, her keys, everything. And she has

medicine. She has to take every day that keeps her alive. The medicine was there. She didn't take it with her. Then the police later said they found some blood on the scene. They found signs of forced entry. So it's believed somewhere overnight Saturday, somebody went into her house and kidnapped her mother. This is Savannah Guthrie of the Today's show from NBC. Of course, left work and has been there with the police

trying to find the mother. They have absolutely no idea what happened. Horrifying

situation. It's all over the news here. So you can imagine in Phoenix, it's all over the

news. And I mean, why would somebody take this woman

out of her house possible kidnapping or something like that but they haven't heard from any

kidnappers they haven't had any ransom demands and uh that medicine that she needs to stay alive

it's now uh like three days I don't know how long she can go without that medicine, but very, very, very sad story.
