We are live at the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Hoover, Alabama, which will be the center of the baseball universe over these next few days and someone

who played a big role in helping to establish this site here and the success of this

baseball tournament is Larry Templeton, the legendary retired athletic director at Mississippi

State, a school that takes baseball about as

seriously as you can possibly take it. Larry, thanks so much for the time. Good afternoon,

and I know you spent a lot of fantastic days and evenings at this stadium. How are you?

Well, Paul, I'm great. I'm looking forward to spending another week in that stadium, and it's hard to believe we're getting ready to play our 28th consecutive tournament there in Hoover, and looking forward to it.

Larry, I want to talk about somebody else that's going to be happening this week, but I do want to have you reflect back to that moment in time because you'll have to help me because, I mean, the baseball tournament bounced around a little bit. It had been here. I think it left.

Take us back to that moment where you sat in those important meeting rooms, and I know what an advocate for baseball you've always been at a time when it wasn't cool to be an advocate for baseball.
