of places to go here, just because it's topical and it just came down, but there was a report

about Aaron Boone that you saw.

This was from Andy Martino, my buddy over at SNY, and he says that there's, according

to Andy, there's only one way that Aaron Boone will be fired according to four sources

with direct knowledge of the Yankees and their workings. That would be if Halstein, Brenner

would have to overrule Brian Cashman and his baseball operations department. And that

has never before happened with a managerial decision. So by that account, if you believe

Andy, and generally his sources are pretty darn good, sounds like the manager is not

going to be the flesh of me, but maybe Yankee fans want it to be.

Well, here's the thing. It's all semantics, right? Because Brian, Hal can go to Brian

and say, we are letting Aaron go. And we just also don't know how the final 30, 31 games

or whatever are going to play out. If it's disastrous, then that changes. But here's

the thing. Let's just say it goes the way it's gone where they're going to finish five,

six games under 500. They're going to finish in last place for only get this. I'll throw

it out. I'm not a multiple choice question, but you threw it out to me.

I'm a multiple choice question. In the history of this organization, how many times did

they finish in the last? In the history of the organization, not many. I mean, it hasn't

happened in what, 33 years? Okay. But you're still talking about over 100 years of baseball.
