So there was a lot of talk after Jackson Dart suffered his concussion that a lot of people would have put him on ice for the rest of the year.

I said, I wouldn't.

He's got to learn how to take hits.

He's got to learn how to be more in control.

And today, the interim head coach, Mike Kafka, said that if he is cleared from

concussion protocol, he is the starting quarterback. And that's the only way to do it. That's the

absolute only way to do it. He's got to learn how to play in the NFL and survive.

Now, you don't want to throw him to the wolves by any stretch of the imagination, but he's got to play.

Because this year was all about making him really good.

I think he's already there.

But you don't stop the progression because you're afraid that'll get hurt.

Protect him better.

Have himself protect himself better.

And go from there.

That's the only move.
