It's a big baseball day despite being a football Friday.

Kyle Tucker shocked the world by signing a four-year $240 million deal with the Dodgers.

It was funny because I was watching something on TV and my son was in the other room last night and I wasn't looking at my phone. And he comes running out and said, Kyle Tucker signed with the Dodgers. And I said, what? I said, for how much? And he said, four years, $2.40. And I said, that's $60 million a year. I'm sure that everybody did that. They did quick math in their head.

I didn't know until Charlie told me.

And, you know, people thought, well, there's going to be a lot of deferred money.

I believe there's 30 million deferred.

10 million each of the first two years.

And then there's like a 60-some million dollar bonus 67 million dollar bonus which kind of

offsets a possible work stoppage in 2027 so it's worth 57 million dollars a year and I'm telling

you the Dodgers are doing for the most part is that they don't mind paying high average annual

value if it's for a short-term contract.

And the Yankees have always operated in a different way.
