Willie and Jerry in for Boomer and Geo. The boys will be back on Friday morning. Al and I will do the warm-up show at 5 and then Boomer and Geo back at 6 o'clock coming up in a couple of days. Later in the hour, we'll do the top Boomer and Geo moments of the day from 2025. Steve Gelbs for S&Y joins us at 8 and then Chris Broussard at 930 next hour. I thought fun to just for a couple of moments, And we can go around the room with this, too.

It doesn't have to be just you and I.

Just what are you looking for in, we even look back on 2025, but, you know, as we hit

2026, whether it's the Giants, the Jets, the Mets, the Yankees, whoever, I think the Knicks

are clearly in the, I think, in the best shape to go win a championship

as it sits right now on December 31st. I might be able to make that case for the Mets or the Yankees

on opening day. I'm still waiting to see how they're going to fill out their roster and what

they're going to do. But I think the Knicks right now are the closest to a championship in this city that we do have. What do you want to see from, I mean, you're wearing a Yankee cap. Yeah. I know you're a Nick fan. I know you played for the Jets. Give me a couple of things that you want to see happen in 2026 in terms of progress. And don't just say win a championship. Like, how do you get there? What do they need to do? Well, starting with the Jets. It all comes down to getting a quarterback. We talked a little bit behind the curtain about this team not being impulsive, even though it was a very bad year with the possibility of firing Aaron Glenn. I mean, we have Beningo. We have Beningo bite. and Beningo wants his head chopped off right now. And it's just, you just don't have any stability and you don't develop a culture that way. And that's what the Jets need desperately on top of getting a quarterback. And really trying to get into the best out of their young talent. It's frustrating because I think Bruce Hall is a star. I really do. I think he's probably the most talent, one of the most talented backs in the league, and we haven't gotten the most out of him. If anything, it looks like he's ready to get out of here. And there's a chance that he may be playing in another jersey next season. Nevertheless, man, we got to find some identity that the Jets can lean on next year, where this offensively or defensive, either side of the ball, we need something we could put a hat on.

We don't have that right now.

So that's going to be a lot of work in the offseason for them to do that. And we see what happens. For the Giants, you know, let the kid develop the kid. It's all about Jackson Dart. He's the franchise. He's a franchise. He's continuing to build around him. Hopefully Andrew Thomas, that injury bug can get behind him and he can play a full season and anchor that line.

And I think defensively, I was probably, I thought the Giants front seven was probably one of the best in the league, start to start the season. That fell apart on Dexon Lawrence's health. It had some injuries. But they got to get back to playing giant giant football and that starts with the defense. Hopefully that can happen. And they get a head coach. They can believe in, nevertheless. I don't know who that is. We talked about a possibility of Mike McCarthy or Brian Flores. Who knows what happens with Belichick, if that's even an option. But they got to get a head coach. And I thought you've made a good point. you don't want a young guy. You want a guy who's been there, done that, who knows who's run an operation, right, and get back to being a standard that the Giants have been for, you know, prior to everything that's kind of transpired with them. Nevertheless, man, as far as the Yankees, I want to see them getting back to being big brother, you know,

losing to the Blue Jays hurt my heart, didn't feel good. It felt like watching the end of that

series, it felt like the Blue Jets felt like they arrived. They finally got one on the Yankees.

Obviously, Judge had a big year. I think we're going, I wouldn't be surprised if we were able to

kind of sign Belliger back. He was great for us. But onward of forward, man. I think in reference to the Knicks, it's about Mike Brown continue to develop this team from a minute standpoint. I love the fact that he shaved certain minutes down. Brunson's obviously the star. And I think, you know, the hindsight and the character of this team comes down to defense.

The fact that they've had

some throwaway games and they've actually been competitive through one point and won some of them. It's indicative to the heart and character of the team. So I'm glad we're on that ride with them. It's just a matter of how they finish. You asked me the question, like, who's going to stay in the I mean, I said, it's horrible Indiana Pacers team.

I apologize for that.

But looking back at it, it's going to stand away? And I said, a horrible Indiana Pacers team, I apologize for that.

But looking back at it, you've got to worry about the Raptors of Celtics, too.

Well, I think Boston gets healthy.

I mean, I did mention that yesterday.
