Congressman elect George Santos from the 3rd District on Long Island has apologized for lying about his resume, that he didn't work at Goldman Sachs or City Group, he didn't graduate from Baruch College, and he's not Jewish.

He's admitted to the lies and apologized, but on Fox News, Tulsi Gabbard, filling in for Tucker Carlson, destroyed him anyway.

This isn't a made-up narrative, but I feel like nobody really wants to sit down and talk about it.

Everybody just wants to push me and call me a liar.

Look, I embellished my resume.

Congressman Alex Santos, we've given you a lot of time.

I think the time that is owed is to the people of New York's third.

It's hard to imagine how they could possibly trust your explanations

when you're not really even willing to admit the depth of your deception to them.

Tulsi Gabbard, by the way, left the Democratic Party recently. She's now an independent,

but she has always been a pit bull.

And Santos, by the way, should fire his communications director for allowing him to do that

extended interview. He now faces a federal investigation and a local investigation by the

NASA County DA, and there are calls for him to step aside and make way for a special election.

Is that fair?

Is that what should happen?

Because Democrats, who lied on their resumes,

went on to become senators and even presidents.
