Welcome back in hour number two, Clay Travis, Buck Sexton Show.

Appreciate all of you hanging out with us as we are rolling through the Monday edition of the program.

And by far, the biggest story of this Monday from a political perspective is that Tim Scott, Senator from South Carolina, has officially dropped out.

0:33.5

And we've been having the conversation now because you can see it where we could in theory have a 1 v1 Donald Trump against whomever the top contender ends up being.

1:58.6

And I think what we're looking at is maybe the reality being, I think I said on July 17th,

2:06.8

I remember because I think we flagged it, that to me I didn't see a pathway where Trump was going to lose this nomination.

2:13.7

As we sit here roughly, what, four or five months out from when this nomination will officially be

2:19.5

decided it's hard for me to see a pathway where niki haley or ron desantis can beat trump

2:26.6

head to head if i had to pick i think ron dsantis probably has a better chance because i
