Ah, New York City.

Used to be, and I'm talking about used to be,

just a couple of years ago under Mike Bloomberg,

and obviously an initiative started by

Rudy Giuliani in terms of cleaning up the streets and bringing order into our universe.

Just be a great city just to go out anytime, almost anywhere.

Well, over the past seven days, shootings in New York have skyrocketed.

Hope you're sitting down 127% compared to the same time in 2019.

It was just 26 last year.

Guess how many of this year?

It's according to the NYPD.

That's just amazing.

Including, by the way, just last Saturday, a man and a woman were shot dead

in broad daylight by a gunman armed with an AR-15, so it's not just in the bad neighborhoods,

gang violence. No, of course not. The suspect, by the way, Charles Hernandez, a 47-year-old guy,

says he wore a blonde wig as he allegedly gunned down a 23 and a 39-year-old.

Also, 17-year-old, Brandon Hendricks, killed before midnight, Monday, Davidson Avenue in Queens.

I mean, and I read last week, obviously, in Flatiron, which is a great neighborhood.
