This is the first time in the history of the Giants, you've brought in a guy who's been to who has won a Super Bowl. The Mets have had two guys, Casey Stangle and Dallas Green. Dallas was the manager of the Phillies. And by the way, Dallas Green also went on to manage the Yankees. So the Yankees had it. The Yankees had a few other guys early in their history, Frank Chance, Bucky Harris, and Johnny Keen. the New York Knicks have done it four times.

They've done it with the great Lenny Wilkins. They did it with Hubey Brown, though Hubey's title was an ABA title. Larry Brown, that was a disaster, and the great Pat Riley. The Nets have done it twice. Chuck Daly, of course, head coach of the Pistons back in the day, and Bill Fitch who won an NBA title with the Celtics, though I don't know if that counts.

The only guy who has come here and then won a championship with the New York team after winning a championship at a prior destination. There's only one. And that person is Weebukank, who did it for the New York Jets in Super Bowl 3. Isn't that crazy? And his championships were NFL titles. What was before? NFL championships. Oh, got it. And so not Super Bowls, yeah. It didn't exist. It was still a championship.

Absolutely.

But think how long ago that was. That is the only guy, other than you wanted to fact check the hockey, though I'm pretty sure it didn't happen in hockey. No, because Keenan didn't win a cup elsewhere. Right, Al Arbor didn't win a cup elsewhere. Deep runs, but no cups. And the 18 different devil coaches that won Stanley Cubs then win titles.

So the only person that has come here with a championship on their resume and then proceeded to win a championship actually happened to the New York Jets and it's Weebuk Bank. And they got close to Jets the second time. With Bill Parcells. Correct. Absolutely. Like the two examples that the Jets have all worked. It did not work with most of these other examples.

And that's not to tell you that this is going to fail. It's just more interesting to think about how often has something like this occurred.

Like how often have we as a city or as a franchise fan base welcomed in someone with a title on their resume?

And the answer is it's just not very often.

And yeah, the success isn't really attached to it. And it's also not recent. Like all those names

I mentioned, I'm looking at the list. The most recent example is probably Lenny Wilkins.

Lenny Wilkins, Larry Brown, because it both happened in that same era of the mid-2000s. That's the

most recent one. The others are in the 90s or the 80s or even far before that. So this is very unique what the Giants are experiencing, and that is bringing in a proven championship coach and saying, go win me another one. So we talk about how no one's done it with multiple Super Bowls. It's also the New York question of, can someone do it here? And to this date, Weebuck is the only one. Yeah. Does that make you feel good? I don't know. Does that give you some kind of power over us? Because nobody's done this other than the Jets? No, I have no power. Here's the real question. I want you to be honest with me. 50-something years ago. Did you find that piece of information interesting or a waste of time? Be honest with me. Well, I knew it already for football that it never happened, obviously. It's interesting. If that's interesting? You know what? If it hadn't been the Jets, I wouldn't have cared
