ESPN Buster only joining us right now in the Emerald Queen Casino Sportsbook Hotline. Buster, how's it going? I'm doing great. How are you guys doing? Fantastic. We were just talking to Voice of the Mariners. Rick Riz. This is a really exciting season. It's the first year that both the Seahawks and Mariners made the playoffs in the same season. And for me, it's the most excitement around this team that I can

remember. I'm curious, Buster, about the national perspective. Can you remember a season where you

are entering into it with this high of expectations for the Mariners? No, nothing quite like this.

I mean, those teams in the 90s when they had, you know, Junior and Edgar Martinez and Alex

Rodriguez, you knew going into every year that they would compete for a playoff spot, but nothing like this, where you're starting the season with World Series, you know, World Series appearances seems totally reasonable.

I do think that if you pick any other team than the Dodgers to win, given their

strength, you're kind of inventing reasons to do that.

But I'm picking the Mariners.

I've got them on the record.

I just don't want to be like everybody else and pick the Dodgers.

I think they really grew last year. And from what I

understand, you know, from talking to people in the organization, you know, that conversation's out

there in that clubhouse. You know, they're not running from that. They go into the year thinking

that they got a real chance to represent the American League in the World Series.

Kyle Raleigh had one of the greatest seasons, if not the greatest season we've seen from a catcher. I'm not expecting 60 bombs. All right, what should I expect at a cow this year? Yeah, I think that's the safe play, right? I mean, for him to have a career year like that, the greatest offensive season, I think, by any catcher ever.

I mean, it would be tough for him to replicate it.

But I was talking with Jerry DePoto.

The Mariners had a baseball operations the other day about, you know, what Cal's workload is going to be this year because he played in 159 games last year.
