His speculation had been rampant for months, which led me to a piece by Ross Dellinger

today, who wrote, for the first time in more than a decade, no college coaches have been

fired or resigned in the first two months for on field reasons.

There have been others let go, obviously, like Mel Tucker for off the field of reasons,

but nobody has been fired because they simply suck as a head coach.

That could change.
