yeah it's unbelievable we couldn't do that now i mean think about this it was how many people

were in the d day invasion 160? 160,000. A hundred and sixty thousand people crossed the English Channel all at once.

Yep.

And landed on the beaches in Normandy, and then they had to climb these straight up cliffs.

I mean, these high, high cliffs.

And they threw these ropes with the hooks on the end up to the top of the cliffs.

And they began to climb these rangers.

And up there were the Germans with the biggest guns ever seen, machine guns,

firing down on them and throwing grenades at him and taking big knives and cutting the ropes.

And every time a ranger fell, another one would have to take his place,

and this one, when they knew, if they were lucky, maybe 25% of these guys would make it to the top.
