So a lot of people are freaking out.

Well, why haven't they done it yet?

Well, it's not as easy as you think.

Now, I will start this off by saying, I think they will.

I think it's too important to what they do.

But the fact that they're investigating things, it certainly makes sense.

Remember, he missed the first half of the season with a nerve irritation in the elbow.

And if you look at his swing and miss percentage, it has dropped steadily over the last three years.

He pitched great in the postseason.

There's no denying that.

He can handle New York.

He steps up to the moment.

He appreciates what the Yankees are all about.

He loves the Yankee organization.

I get it.

But remember, it is a business because all those things being said that when he had an opportunity to opt out of his contract, which has four years at $36 million a year left over, he did.

And the only way the Yankees could stop him from being a free agent is if they had a

10th year to the original nine-year contract at $36 million a year.

I think they'll probably do it.
