Summary

Our Charity Auction winner for hunger, Irving Goldfarb from NJ, joined Mark in the studio to discuss his business and the aspirations of Mark's show. Rosie O'Donnell has come back to the USA after she said she wasn't, due to President Trump, and came to visit her family. The John F. Kennedy Jr. miniseries is performing well with viewers. Mark takes your calls! Mark interviews author Ann Coulter. Ann explains the reason she said a few years ago that former Senator Joseph McCarthy gets a bad rap. Former President Bill Clinton has historically invoked it as a negative benchmark for political attacks, labeling aggressive, partisan, or smear-based tactics as "McCarthyism." He notably used this comparison to criticize Republicans in 1992, 2012, and 2026 and make them look bad. Ann wrote about all this and explained in detail what she saw and meant about how Bill Clinton navigated his political career to bash McCarthy's actions and put him as the reason Republicans are the way they are today.

Well, I think you're the first auction winner ever to come back again and do it twice. But the last time you did a couple of years ago, were we in the other studio? Oh, my God, it was impossible to find that, but the cab driver had no idea what I was talking about. This one was a lot easier. Yeah, well, our old studios were in Tribeca. Right. We've left Tribeca. We're now in Midtown Manhattan, right here on 55th, and a big beautiful skyscraper. Much better here. Did you get a chance to look around? I did, yeah, walked around some of the studios, yeah. You got Charlemagne over in that studio over there, Elvis Duran down the hall, Jim Kerr that way. And Irv's going to just sit and, is this exciting to sit and watch this for an hour? Well, I mean, last time I was here I was able to participate a little bit. Yeah, and of course, you want to plug anything mentioning that's part of the deal? Do you want to... I do actually. I actually started writing a blog about a year ago.

1:45.5

Oh, God. Oh, no. I was in radio for 20 years. Oh. And I worked at ESPN. So like you, I met a lot of famous personages. And I had some interesting stories. So I sent it to 75 of my closest friends. And I got good feedback. So now I'm uploading those blogs onto Substack.

And where do people go? They can go to Substack. It's called Irvine's Subststack, Irvine, Bostrifice, S. Irvin's Substack. Unfortunately, I found out last night there are two Irvins Substack. Mine is Irv Goldfarb. You see my name and you can read stories about me chauffering Bruce Springsteen around back when he was a human being.

2:18.9

I worked for Harvey Weinstein one night. Had a lot of interesting stories. And people like them. Not crazy about the name. Irvin's? Well, my name is Irvin. So I just put my name in and it just popped up as Irvin's substack. So I just kept it. I like Goldfarb's substack. Goldfarb sounds like something, like a German candy bar or something.

He said, thank you. I said, you want a ride, Bruce? He said, yeah, man, I'll take a ride. Put him in the car, drove him to the record store. People recognized him after a while, chased us down the escalator. And we sat in the car and talked for a while afterwards. It was an unforgettable experience. All right. Well, you can read these stories on Irvin's substack. Irvin's substack. And what did you do at ESPN? I was, mostly, I did stats, baseball stats, hockey stats. I put the graphics up on the scene on the screen. Oh, very good. Numbers guy. Excellent. So, and paid a lot of money to be our uh auction winner money goes to charity
