i was driving and listening to absolute cintron al cintron who is a guy like listening to and a

hard worker leaves this job to go to work at a hotel after his overnight shift so So the guy is a grinder, and he said he spoke to someone he trusted about Mets information

and someone who's gotten some stuff right in the past.

And this particular person said that the Mets had reached out to Dusty Baker about taking

over the team, but Dusty Baker said no, because he wanted his own coaching staff

and the Mets weren't going to let him do that. So that was not Al saying that he was Al saying

that he heard from a guy that he trusts that that was the information. And we talked about it

and didn't totally say he was nuts, but said it's probably, you know, it's unlikely that that would be the case

that we probably didn't believe the report.

And yesterday, it's a mutual friend of ours who will remain nameless that somehow has a relationship

with Dusty Baker good enough that he could give him a call, did so,

and spoke to Dusty Baker about this, and Dusty himself from the horse's mouth said it's

absolutely false. There isn't a shred of truth to any of that. He has not heard from the Mets

at all. So we're putting that one to bed, Boomer. All right, so we're basically undercutting one of our colleagues. What do you mean? I mean, like Big Al goes out there and he throws this thing out there for everybody, you know, a little chum in the water. And then we follow up because we have somebody that knows Dusty and Dusty does tell us. But now I feel like, you know, we're kind of undercut now a little bit, you know what I mean? But I guess we got to get to the accurate truth, right? How many, I said I like Al, I like listening to Al. I was happy that he put something like that out there. We said the digital team should put it out.

It's interesting. We had a conversation about it. I didn't ask this person to go and talk to

Dusty Baker. They just did. And then ended up texting me. I don't think we're undercutting a colleague

at all. I mean, I understand that. I'm not all I'm saying is that, yes, I was on that text thread.
