Over the last few years, we've sort of become experts on quarterback changes. Usually the way it works is the head coach opens the door to a quarterback change. That's how it all starts. Then we all jump to the conclusion while they're clearly going to change quarterbacks because the head coach opened the door. Then one of the famed NFL reporters comes out and says, report. Mike is replacing Zach Wilson, or in this case,

Jackson Dart is replacing Russell Wilson. The next step after that is for obviously the coach

to confirm it and for the coach to give his reasons and say, oh, yeah, we're making a quarterback

change. Then we hear from the new quarterback and sometimes we even hear from the former quarterback.

So obviously we've gone through these steps throughout the week on Monday early on in our show.

Brian Daible opened the door.

On Tuesday, Adam Schaefter really opened the door by reporting it's happening.

And then today, all within the last hour or so, all the important people spoke.

So let's start with the head coach, Brian Dayball.

So Brian did something that he normally does on Wednesdays.

He talked glowingly about the opponent.

On and on and on and on about the Chargers.

I think kind of knowing we're all there not to hear his opinion on Justin Herbert, but we

want to hear how you address the quarterback situation.

And after about four or five minutes, Brian Dayball, with a plane flying overhead, decided

to tell us, hey, I'm making a quarterback change.

Quarterback situation, I met both a quarterback change. A quarterback situation.

I met both with Russ yesterday and Jackson privately, and Russ was nothing but a pro, which I would expect him to be.

It's my decision.

We're going with Jackson.

We're going to get him ready to play this week and the remainder of the season.

He's going to do everything he can.
