Very excited.

0:23.7

We had our first bloodied coach in a practice up in New England.

0:27.9

We'll get to that in just a second.

0:29.2

I have told, though, Jess, you want to talk about the AP top 25 preseason ball?

0:34.3

I have never been happier.

0:36.1

It's 20 years of doing this. I have wanted to discuss

0:38.8

the AP preseason top 25 poll all 20 years. And Dan has never allowed me to do so. And I'm told

0:45.3

today that you do want to talk about it. And I'm very excited. Before you start, yes, I learned something

0:50.5

from your Instagram about preseason polls today. And I hope that's what you're saying.

0:53.5

Because you are very informative. I can share that. I was going to say Stugats,

0:57.9

we got we got the coaches poll this week. And right now Texas, Archmanning, number one in the

1:04.1

coaches poll. Yeah. With 28 first place votes. That is that is something. Stugats. What do you want to

1:10.6

talk about? Do you want to talk about?

1:11.1

Do you want to talk about, uh, Illinois being in the top 15? Do you want to talk about,

1:17.2

uh, SMU being in the top 16? Where do we go from here? I want to talk about the fact that Texas

1:22.9

is number one and there's a ton of, there's a ton of pressure on, on Arch Manning, but I think they're

1:28.3

going to lose to Ohio State in the first week. Yeah, Jess, I don't think I've seen a preseason number one that I've been that's excited about just because the intrigue of Arch Manning. Is he really just going to take over the reins and just take a number one team start to finish? Probably not, but it'd be pretty exciting if you did. I know. I mean, I feel like the thing about these week one games is that, you know, when they started the 12

1:48.5

team playoff and people are like, oh, this means that like the regular season will be devalued. I mean, those people, I think I might have been one of them. I can't remember. They're kind right, right? Because like if Texas loses to Ohio State, no one's going to be like, oh, man,

2:00.2

they got to be perfect to make the playoff now. That's just not true. And same with nice person.

2:04.7

It was me who said that. It takes away what the playoff has done has taken away. College football had it right in my opinion for many, many years in that the regular season felt like the postseason. Every week felt a playoff. Yeah. But that being said, I think that that should make more teams like this play in week one. And that's like the opposite of what the Big Ten is saying. The Big Ten is like we don't want to do any non-conference games. I think that the like teams being able to lose in week one should mean that we get more Ohio, Texas to start the season. We get more LSU Clemson to start the season. We get more, you know, Notre Dame Miami to start the season. Teams are more willing because they know they can still make the playoff. Unfortunately, that's like the opposite of what all the Big Ten coaches are saying. But anyways, I'm super excited for the week one games because I think, yeah, like it will be a good showcase to see these two young quarterbacks playing against each other.
