Glad to have all of you on board here. Middle of the week, first day of October. What happened to September? It seems like we just got there. Anyway, welcome back. Bill Conley is what happened to this segment because he has ranked every power four quarterback one month into the season. And my, oh my, has this changed. Bill, great to have you on.

Always a treat to talk to you. So we've seen your list. We want to talk about it.

But have you ever seen quarterbacks who started the season way up high to simply fall from

Earth? Yeah, we're all pretty bad at this, apparently.

I think that's the major message of the first month of the season is none of us knew what

we were talking about in the preseason when it came to who was going to be good and, you know,

making projections based on, you know, what, you know, Manasmeyer or Clubnik or some of these guys did last year.

Like, that was, they've regressed a little bit and we'll see if they can rebound.

But we made a lot of guesses about who was about to take a big leap and a whole bunch of

other guys did instead.

And let me start with who has fallen off.

As you watch this and evaluated, Clubnick and Nussmeyer were way up. I mean, they were one and two on most of the NFL scouts list. What happened to them? Yeah, I mean, Nelsmeyer's been kind of interesting. Obviously, we hear rumblings about injuries or whatever. But, I mean, the bottom line for him also is that he has no run game. He doesn't have a lot of protection. So it just seemed to me like he was just throwing a bunch of quick passes and getting by with it. Didn't get by with it anymore against Ole Miss. Had to force the issue a little bit and it just didn't work out very well. So if he's healthy and everybody develops, they could still turn into kind of what we're used to seeing from the LSU offense. But that's been kind of the issue. I guess really with Klobnik, it's been the same way. Run games iffy, offensive lines banged up. But he just doesn't seem to be making as good decisions as he was towards the end of last year. He's not as sharp. He's thinking more, it seems like just a lot of things you're not supposed to be doing like thinking as a quarterback yeah and some of the names as we look at the top of this list

one or two of them weren't even expected to be stars like trinidad chambliss from olmiss i want to start

with him because uh as we look at nussmeyer this is is SEC and then overall, and there is the top of the list.

Here's a guy that we barely knew anything about.

Just what do you make out of Chambliss?

And I'm assuming he's in pretty good shape right now to keep that job.
