Exactly what Cheryl Brittany Griner's wife said. It's gratitude. It's truly gratitude.

Waking up to this news was special, not only for her and her family and Brittany, but for

the extended sports family that has had compassion, that has had empathy for what Brittany Griner

has gone through the last 10 months and 294 days. And to wake up to the visual of President

Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and Cheryl Brittany's wife, standing there saying

that our fight was worth something that Brittany, her representation, particularly as a black

woman, was worth something worth fighting for. To me, just I'm still extremely emotional.

Because this is a situation that has been near and dear to us, particularly me as a

current player in the WNBA and our extended family. And to be able to see that this has

come to fruition truly has been remarkable.
