all right i'm taking a look at the numbers air quality is improving still unhealthy still unhealthy

right now we're at one 99 which is down from like 215 an hour ago and we may get as low as

170 today that's still unhealthy uh tomorrow we may get down to 120 it depends what happens you can't you cannot forecast this air quality

stuff because the wind could shift a little bring some of the smoke back it could shift this way

and take some more out uh if it rains there's a chance of a couple little showers today that can

help things so um believe it or not it got got so bad yesterday. They canceled the Yankee

game. They canceled Broadway shows. Not all of them, but many of them were canceled. Hamilton,

a couple others were canceled. Hey, one of the reasons is those Broadway theaters, most of them

are very, very, very, very old buildings. And the older the building, the more the outside air comes in.

If you're one of these brand new glass skyscrapers, they're sealed pretty tight and it keeps the air out.

But the old Broadway theaters, they say at Hamilton backstage, in the dressing rooms, the air was cloudy and yellow.

Right in the dressing room.

So that's the reason they canceled them uh

yankee game was canceled and reschedule as a double header today uh i don't know if we've

heard if that's on they'll check the air quality uh flights were canceled yesterday because at

uh jfk it was just so thick on the runway.

The Belmont stakes is Saturday.

They think it should be fine on Saturday.

It'll be better tomorrow.

We got this stay indoor unhealthy air alert until midnight tonight.

Tomorrow should be a little better.
