And a good afternoon, everybody. This is indeed the Michael K Show. We thank you for joining us on this Wednesday, January 29th, 2025. How's everybody doing? A lot of stuff to talk about. It's a Wednesday, so that's a loopick a day. We'll talk to Mike at 2.30, as we always do. But we're going to talk some baseball. We'll talk some baseball. Obviously, Super Bowl is still a ways away, and we went over all of the conference championship stuff and we'll continue to break that down

day by day. But there's some news today because of the interview that Meredith Morocovitz,

my colleague at yes, did down in Tampa with Hal Steinbrenner, the managing general partner and co-chairperson of the New York Yankees.

And there's something that caught the eye of a lot of Yankee fans who are certainly incredibly judgmental when it comes to Hal.

Incredibly.

You know, they look at, you know,orge as the good old days and there was no

spending limits or anything like that and this is what has gotten the attention and also has

raised the ire of some yankee fans here's how talking talking to Meredith, about the Dodgers spending.

Well, look, it's difficult for most of us owners to be able to do the kind of things that they're

doing. Now, we'll see if it pays off. They still have to have a season, relatively injury-free,

for it to work out for them. And it's a long season, as you know, and once you get to the

postseason, anything can happen. We've seen that time and time again. So we'll see who's there at the end

and if they're the ones. Now, there's nothing that he said that I essentially disagree with,
