And a good afternoon, everybody, and this is indeed the Michael K-Show,

it's three o'clock it's October 11th 2024 it's Michael Don and Peter will take you

right into the weekend at 630.

There's so much stuff to do, so much stuff to talk about.

But what we start with is that both New York baseball teams

are four wins away from going to the World Series.

Think about that.

Four wins away.

Now, when this all started, the Yankees were assumed to be a team

that was going to challenge for championship.

I think the Mets have defied all the early expectations and the bad start,

but the Mets punched their ticket the day before.

Last night, the Yankees punched their ticket with a 3-1 victory. Their ace pitch like an ace is supposed to pitch.

When you pitch in a big game like that, Cole was great. Everybody held their breath in the seventh.

They didn't last out off the bat of Isbell, which could have tied it,

but Soda went back to the wall, made the catch.

The bullpen once again was perfect.
