| 1:01.3 | but Major League Baseball and the Orioles in their infinite wisdom |
| 1:04.4 | because the forecasts look a little murky for tonight, |
| 1:07.6 | so they move the game up to this afternoon. |
| 1:09.6 | You'd think that there wouldn't be a huge crowd with the short notice of moving |
| 1:12.8 | the game to an afternoon. You know, people have obligations, school, work, all those other things. Crime for those that are into that sort of thing as well. And they might not be able to even to take in the game. But we will keep the company here and keep you up to date what's happening with the bombers and the Orioles as they try, |
| 1:32.9 | try to avoid losing their second consecutive series after getting swept in Milwaukee. |
| 1:37.9 | They'll give the ball to their ace, Max Fried, or at least one of their aces, if you will. |
| 1:42.1 | Cam Schlittler's pitched pretty darn well to deserve that moniker two this season. |
| 2:08.7 | But Fried will get the ball trying to bounce back after a tough one on Friday night against the Milwaukee Brewers. But, you know, the thing was impressive about Freed in that game against the Brewers, even though we got knocked around pretty early in the game, you know, the fact that he still was able to gut it out and give them six innings so they didn't have to deplete the bullpen. And then those next couple of days, of course, we're a little taxing because of the one-run ball games and having to play as much as the Yankees have had here without a day off, which they'll finally get tomorrow. |
| 3:43.1 | Let's see if Reid can really give them something that they can enjoy the off day with with a good performance this afternoon and a series victory in the rubber match. So we'll keep you up to date on that. As we move forward through the afternoon, Knicks are back on the practice floor today because, hey, when you sweep your second round opponent and you have nothing else to do, but sit and watch the other two teams that are still battling it out for that other spot in the conference finals, you know, you rest, you practice. That's all you can do. And so the Knicks, after a couple of days of R&R, they're back at it today. So we'll get some reaction from some of the players as they talk to the media a little bit later around this afternoon. And we'll have a look at tonight's game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Detroit Pistons and an all-important game five. And look, the way I see it and the way this series has kind of played itself out and really what we've seen from these two teams in the playoffs thus far, I think the winner of tonight's game, quite frankly, wins the series, right? If it's the Pistons, you know, they're holding served just like every other team has so far in this series, which the home team taken care of business on their home floor. And by having that home court advantage in a game seven, that's a big feather in Detroit's cap. So if they could win this game tonight, I think they'll eventually win this series in either six or seven. Cavs win this game tonight. I think that, you know what, they finally break through and win a game on the road for the first time in these playoffs. And maybe that's the little tipping point that they need to get over that hump. And then they go back to their gym for game six to try to close it out, which I think then they'll be able to do. So a big, big game tonight in the NBA. It's an 8 o'clock tip off. It'll be on ESPN. You get to watch that one, and I'm sure the Knicks are going to be watching that one with bated breath to maybe get a little bit of a gauge as to who that opponent is going to be. And the way the series is unfolded, look, you know that it's going to go minimum six. So game six will be on Friday. If it ends in six, you've got to figure that the series will begin no earlier than Sunday. If they need a seventh game, game seven will be on Sunday. |
| 4:00.8 | And then the Knicks probably aren't going to start the conference finals until Tuesday at the earliest, which is just crazy, with that much time off here. |
| 4:08.3 | But they deserve it. |
| 4:09.2 | They're not going to complain. |
