You know, in a really weird start to the season, Bump, I do have some good Mariners news for you and for listeners. Do you? We will not be talking about a Mariners loss tomorrow to start the show. You think so? I really don't think we will. And that's good news. In fact, Curtis, for your birthday today, happy birthday. Thank you. You've got extra endings going from seven to nine. And again, the Mariners as their gift to you.

Which I thought was nice. I thought that was considerate.

No better way to spend my birthday than not covering the Mariners.

I have concerns.

I'm wondering, you know, why bat speeds down and why multiple bats aren't performing.

And I can only say it's the WBC for so long until we get into mid-April and it's still kind of the same. So again, not panicking, not complaining, but I don't love it. Curious how you guys feel, though. When is it too early? Or when is it too late to say it's too early? I still think you can say it's too early. It's funny you said bat speeds speeds are down, yet their manner swung the bat the hardest yesterday out of both teams. It's like, yeah, it's not for a lack of trying. Yeah, it's not for like a try. I'm to the point now where I'm watching my child walk to the hot stove. And I'm letting them go to that hot stove and be like, all right now. All right, it's hot. I'm telling you it was hot. And then as soon as they touch it, I'm going to go in them and save them and lecture them. I'm like, listen, I told you about this stove being hot. These guys are walking towards the stove right now before I'm like, listen, the people are going to turn on you so quickly. We're going to have to talk about you in a different way. We need you to realize what's going down right now. And I'm sure they realize the sports is all about execution. But it just doesn't look good. It doesn't feel fun like it did last year. I watched the two, I guess, backups you want to say, come in, Connor Joe and Mitch,

and of course they didn't connect at the play, right? These guys are backups. I wrote in our email. I almost look at every backup the way I look at the Hawks' backups, and it's not fair. All right, the Hawks backups, they come in, execute the ready to go. I can't look at these guys the same way. I had to calm myself down when that play was mad.
