He walked in the fifth or sixth inning like that, and seemed like a confident dude. And then, story is I'm sitting next to this dude, right? And he is going off on Emerson. He hasn't done anything. We gave him 90, we gave him $90,000. No, this is yesterday. I had a random spot. We gave him 90,000 dollars ago. First off, add million to that. Okay, second, this is a second day on the job. I go, and two, expect failure. Like, don't expect him to come out hot. Literally two minutes after I say that to him, bam.

Oh, yeah, he's back.

He's going to do it.

I go, still, simmer down.

Don't put that pressure on him, but it was fun to see. Well, let's keep doing that then. Let's keep talking about Emerson's expectations and what we've seen so far. By the way, this was that free run bomb. The stretch. and again the two to cold swing and a fly ball down the right field line in deep.

That his three run, home run, sailed over the head of Jared Kelnick and Wrightfield

felt not poetic, but a little poignant and bump to your point, maybe a reminder that

while we have sky high expectations or maybe like sky high potential for Colt Emerson, you really never know what's going to happen with a prospect.

And you can never turn to that person and expect them to save your season.

I mean, yesterday, Curtis and I were talking about how Kelnick started his run here.

It was amazing. We're like, oh, my God, this is going to be it.
