Mariners have a matinee series finale against the White Sox,

a chance to take this series win. It's going to be a 110 p.m. first pitch, Emerson Hancock on the mound. Matt, are we tarps off back in the studio? We can't tell Bump and I are at T-Mobile Park. So what's that situation? Matt, do you know what tarps off is? It's when it rains at a baseball game. You got it. And you have to put the tarp on the field? You know what? That's tarps on. Don't you all have a roof over there? So tarps off was a beautiful phenomenon. We'll get to it a lot in the time. We'll get to a lot in the timeline. But I was just checking to see if you were tarps off to start the show. So maybe a little bit of levity here, but but alas, none of us are. Maybe the only good

coming from last night. Certainly the only good. What happened is the Mariners had one of the

ugliest losses. Now, I still think that the comeback victory that the Padres

had against Seattle on the road was the most gut-punching loss of the season. I'll file this under,

oh my God, what's wrong with this team kind of loss. The debate that I'd love to have here

and one that was raging on Twitter yesterday,

and certainly this morning I was hearing people talking about it on Brock and Salk,

is this an offensive issue? Is that what was wrong? Or is this Dan Wilson? You had one hit bump.

One hit is a team. It's hard for me. Now, Dan Wilson did have a moment yesterday. That was a kind of suspect, right?

Didn't know the rules of visiting the mound or whatnot. But I can't say that Dan Wilson is

responsible for the bats not doing what they're supposed to do. He's not in the batter box with

him. I mean, Dan Wilson as a,

manager, he's more responsible for managing emotions, making decisions when it comes to pitching

and all that good stuff. But when you have a team that has the expectation that this team had

coming in and they're not living up to it, you do look at leadership. And he is responsible for

something. But it's hard for me to say, you know what, they're swinging at bad pitches because of Dan Wilson. But he's the leader. He does take some responsibility. All right. Let's talk about where people are taking issue. So we're going to go to cut number one. This is in the White Sox pull ahead. Ben Intendi's RBI single, top nine. All even had won the stretch and the pitch to Benintendi. Swinging to ground ball, diving try by Nader off his glove. It gets on by Cole Young to his right, and here comes Vargas on to score. And the White Sox now have a two-to-one lead here in the top of the ninth inning. Hard hit ball with the infield up close dailer diving to his right it glanced
