Zeldon not really much personality but you watched all those commercials for months about what a great statesman he is great family man a father a war hero

they seem like this dignified guy months of these commercials one of the biggest disasters

you can have in politics is when you show up in the debate

and you don't match the commercial.

So he didn't match the commercials at all.

Just a vicious, snarling pit bull.

And I guess that was, when you have no personality, there's a couple of ways you can go.

They'll try to teach you to be funny and charming and some jokes,

or they'll write some stories for you to tell to make yourself seem more colorful.

Or they'll do this attack dog thing.

It was famously done in 1976 when Ford was running for re-election against Jimmy Carter and Bob Dole, you remember that?
