Pleasure. Thanks, Mark. Hey, let doing pleasure thanks mark hey uh let's start

with well start with your column on kirsten cinema uh not caucusing with the democracy what

what does all that mean if anything well it means that her vote is even less certain for the

democratic agenda than it was before uh as a practical matter they let her keep her two subcommittee chairmanship.

So she's not going to be in continued open rebellion.

But she's no longer tied to the Democratic Party.

She knows she's not going to get Democratic Party funding.

She's not going to have the party apparatus behind her if she runs her reelection as an independent.

It pretty much means she's more independent.

And was she doing that for just practical political purposes to help her get reelected in Arizona?

I think that, yes, she would have had a difficult time in a Democratic primary.

Now what the Democrats are going to have to do is they're going to have two congressmen run against each other in a late primary. They'll have the same kind of divisions and, you know, bloodsport that Republicans had in the last Senate primary, which I think made it possible for the Democrat senator to win re-election. So I think that she skips a contentious party primary, and, you know,

she breaks a new brand for herself. You know, she's the McCain of the Democrats.
