Good morning. We have breaking news out of Jets Camp. According to our Rich Samini,

Justin Fields was injured on the first play of the second team period at Jets practice today.

Aaron Glenn immediately stopped the period and moved on to the special team's drills as Justin Fields was carted to the locker room with what appears to be a lower leg injury.

We do not know the severity of it at this moment.

What more can you tell us?

Listen, this is one of those, if you are a Jets fan, you are disbelief.

Because this is a franchise year after year, you're hoping that for good news you're

hoping for a quarterback them getting Justin Fields after the Aaron Rogers debacle they thought

this is new life new hope and to have Justin Field essentially day one of training camp

and you're just you're just floored.

Justin Fields entered a situation where he felt like he wasn't given the best opportunity in Pittsburgh to showcase what he could be.

He had that here with the Jets.

We hope that this isn't as severe as it sounds.

We'll get more information as this show keeps going. But it's just devastating for the kid, for this franchise. But if there's any one person who I trust in this situation, it's Aaron Glenn, where you know he's going to deal with a lot of things with this franchise, and he'll be able to get them under control. I don't want to jump to any conclusions because we don't know the diagnosis. We don't know the severity of it. Everything we're reading and we're getting live updates from Ripsomini and others who are there. But Harry, just waking up this morning, first play of practice. It's not even August yet. Just how devastating is this for you if you're a Jets player or if you're a Jets fan? Well, it's deflating because of the history of this organization, right? This is a team that hasn't been to the playoffs since 2010. And every single year, you hope and you pray, you have dreams and aspirations for things to be different within your organization. And for a guy like Justin Fields, who's going into his fifth year, and let me start off by saying this, you know, all of us, we're going to have Justin Fields in our prayers, and we hope and we pray that it's not severe, and it's going to be season ending, or he's going to miss time. But with that, with that being said, like, this is a guy that's going into year number five.
