This weekend, you can make the case, is the best football weekend of the year, of the season.

You have the best teams. You've got two games on Saturday. You've got two games on Sunday.

I say it's better than the championship weekend next week, and I think it's better

than the Super Bowl. Four outstanding games, so much on the line, and we'll certainly break that

down for you. But we do want to start with a story that continues to dominate the newsfront

here in New York, and that's the Pete Alonzo situation.

So it looks like the Mets are essentially done with Alonzo.

And the word is that the last offer they made was three years at 68 million or 70 million.

Now, I am a big proponent that they should dig in and offer him what they think he's worth.

I thought that 68 to 70 for three years a little light.
