I'm certain someone told them that this was the case.

As a matter of fact, the way the story goes, inciting sources close to Bloomberg's campaign,

Matt Drudge wrote that the New York City mayor

is seriously considering Hillary as a running mate

after their polling found that the Bloomberg Clinton combination

would be a formidable force.

And Drudge goes on to say, and again, I'm certain he's not making this up.
