who's out of he joins me. Who's how are you man? I'm good ready to go. Baby, how you doing? I'm great. Um okay, let let let let's just get right into it with some football stuff. Baker Mayfield traded to the Carolina Panthers. This is going back two days ago right about now, maybe in a couple hours. So we're like 48 hours removed from it. What was your reaction?

I was shocked to be honest with you. Um obviously, whole off season Baker can go to Seattle Baker can go here. Baker can go here. Oh, Caroline is also a possibility. But when I saw they have Sam, you draft Matt Carral.

Is it certain that Baker Mayfield is an upgrade from San Bruno, and if you ask me that I'm saying, no, it's not a certainty that he's an upgrade from San Bruno. He's not bigger. He's not faster. He's not more athletic. He doesn't have a better warm. He has experienced more success.

But if you look at the team's Baker Mayfield is played with and you look at the teams that Sam Darnell is played with that could be partly part of the reason why he's experienced more success. And so I'm not sure that he's an upgrade over Sam Darnell.

And so for me, I look at that trade. I say, huh, he doesn't know the system. He's going to have to go learn a system. And people don't take into account how difficult it is to learn a system. I don't care who you are. It's not easy.

Are the players going to like him? Are they going to take them? That matters. And so this looks like Matt Rola, Sam, man, I just need a chance. I need an opportunity. He may or may not believe in Sam Darnell.

But if you're hitching your wagon, the Baker Mayfield with a telling he hadn't cleave. And yet you can say he's hurt. But when they were bashing Baker Mayfield, not one guy came out and defended him.

That's something that's really interesting, right? Because you know, my defense of a Baker Mayfield back when he was about to be drafted was we don't have to like him. But guys don't go home and do. Right. All the matters is the 46 guys on game day. That's all the matters.

But he lost the locker room last year. And I know he's making 15 million total. But he's only making 4 million from the Carolina Panthers. Whereas Sam Darnell is making over 18 million from the Carolina Panthers.

Doesn't it usually go the guy who makes the money gets the first chance to lose the job?

That's from my experience. Absolutely. I mean, almost five times amount to Baker's making or four times amount. Yes. But Carolina for them to make this trade, it tells me they don't 100% believe in Sam Darnell.

I Sam Darnell was hurt last year. Nobody has come out and said how bad he was hurt. Like they've come out and said how bad Baker was hurt. I know this for a fact. Sam Darnell was hurt last year. And he just missed him.

He missed games. They started Cam Newton who can't throw a football. They also they were three and O and they lost Christian McAfry. So I mean, you know, it's a whole thing.

I was played in. Oh, we I'm going to say 10 games in the last two years. I can be wrong. But I'm going to say I believe he played in 10 games in the last two years.

But Sam Darnell was pretty banged up last year. And when he wasn't banged up at the start of the season, it was like, Oh, you get Sam Darnell some pieces he can play.

And then he got hurt. And when you try to play through those injuries, you get what Baker gave you and Cleveland, you get what Sam Darnell gave you in Carolina. I don't believe it's an upgrade.

And so normal. The guy understands the system. The player Sam Darnell has a great personality. There's not a player that he's played with. I don't say anything bad about him. And so it's going to get very interesting in that locker room because you have to choose.

You guys are going to have to choose who they want is their quarterback. And that can cause a problem. Baker's already come out saying, I want to be me. I'm not chasing. Well, if that's the case.
