But Rich Hockman just had some beautiful words about Larry Brooks, and it's so true.

I never met him, but growing up in this town, there are writers whose words are so big, and they teach you so much.

And when I think of hockey in this town, I do think of Larry, and we lost him the other day.

So condolences to his family, he is one of those writers that you look at and

you read them and it felt like you knew him even if you didn't know him. And he probably taught me

more about hockey than anybody else. Which, look, I'm no expert on hockey, but reading him every

morning growing up and even in this business, that's a legend.

So condolences to me great journalists for because you learn about the sports you don't know.
