My colleague and co-hosts and co-pilot, we're headed to the moon.

At least to follow the case for heading to the moon.

We welcome Rand Simberg, the author most recently, of why commercial

space should leave the U.S. return to the moon. This is from the Reason Foundation, where you can

find the document. Rand, a very good evening to you. Yes, yes, and yes. However, I ask it as a question.

Why should commercial space lead the U.S. return to the moon, perhaps by 2028?

It should do that because it's been leading the way back to orbit.

You know, NASA no longer, other than SLS has no capability to get anything into orbit. You know, NASA no longer, other than SLS, has no capability to get anything

into orbit anymore. It's been relying on commercial space to do that now for, for cargo

for many years and for the last five years or so, four years or so, at least, for crew as well.

So commercial space got us after the end of the shuttle, commercial space got us out of the quandary where we were having to pay, you know,

Putin get Putin millions of dollars, tens or hundreds of millions of dollars every year to get our own

astronauts to our own space station. And commercial space solved that problem.

And it can do the same thing with the moon.

It will do much more cost effectively.
