The COVID-19 global pandemic has finally hit the public consciousness, but public awareness

is still very low.

The president of the United States assured the American people that COVID-19 has a much

lower case fatality rate than the seasonal flu.

Now in point of fact, the present consensus estimate of 2% case fatality rate for COVID-19

is actually 28 times more deadly than the seasonal flu's case fatality rate of 0.07%.

I interviewed Dr. Chris Martinson way back on January 30th, more than a month ago,

and frankly, all of that interview is as relevant today as the day it was recorded.

So we're re-airing that interview today in order to provide that information to what will

hopefully be a broader audience.

Quite a lot has changed since January 30th, so I'll be back after the interview ends to

give you the March 2nd update on what's changed since the interview you're about to

hear was originally recorded on January 30th.

This interview was recorded before the World Health Organization had declared an international

emergency, and before they had assigned the name COVID-19 to this disease.
