Well, it's a weird week, too.

The draft positioning. You have a mess of players with expiring contracts, a meaningless game.

The direction of the franchise, and of course, overarching all of it is Bill Belichick's future.

Belichick speaking on WEEI to the Greg Hill show on Tuesday morning is what he had to say when asked about the speculation about his job.

Whatever, whatever success I have had, I've tried to go about my job the same way every week,

win, lose, you know, good years, bad years, whatever they are, you know, just each week,

get ready to go for that week, do the best you can to help your team win, and after that

game, move on to the next one.

And at the end of the season, that's the end of the season.

But on a week-to-week basis, I mean, I don't want to spend time or get caught up in, you know, what happened five years ago,

or what's going to happen two years from now, or, you know, I mean, a bunch of other random stuff.

So just working on the jets.

Makes sense, Phil.

He's not going to spend a lot of time hand-wringing over what's going on.

He is a steady, steady individual.

But he did actually give an indication of where his heads at with this comment at the end of his call to the Greg Hill show, which was amusing.
