But first, heat check, take the temperatures of Tennessee athletic coaches. Now, it is April Fool's,

so that was my attempt of being foolish and joking around. Maybe that's not so funny. Maybe that's

clickbait to some of you guys or whatever, but it is April Fool's. Nobody has been fired to my

knowledge, but it kind of goes with what I'm saying right now. Let's take the temperature of Tennessee athletic coaches. You know, I saw this from Adam Sparks, Knox News, and Adam Sparks just had, you know, surgery, so I hope he's doing well, I think, on his shoulder or something like that. So not a lot of writing for Adam here lately, but he did do a podcast, and I saw that he posted it, and I'm like, you know what, that's a really, really great topic here for the first day of April, you know, kind of in the offseason and all that, with one basketball, with basketball seasons just coming to an end, baseball diamond season's happening right now, football season always is on top of the conversation. Let's take the temperature of Tennessee head coaches across the athletic department. So here's what I think, right? I would love some engagement on this, add underscore Kner at lockdown balls. Let me know what you think. We'll start with Josh Heiple because, you know, clearly, Josh Hypole, I mean, football runs the ship. Football is what pays the bill, pretty much any major university outside of the select few and i think

we can all agree that overall since josh heppel took over the dumpster fire that was that he

inherited for jeremy pruitts in late january of 2021 josh heppel has done a phenomenal job a phenomenal

job a couple of 10 win seasons. He's got a college football

playoff appearance. Orange Bowl victory. One in the Citrus Bowl. A couple of top 10 offenses

led the nation in scoring a total offensive production in 2022, have one of the best defenses in the

country in 24, top 10 defense. There's been a lot that's been accomplished here for Josh Hypoe at Tennessee.

Now, that doesn't mean that you settle.

That doesn't mean that expectations change.

Okay, there's also been a couple of eight and four seasons.

Season number one in 2021 was seven and six and nobody thought that you'd even get to a 500 record, right? Much less a winning record going to a bowl game and having a top 10 offense.
