My name is Chris, and this is a show about football hello there you yacht possums

how are you today i'm happy to talk with you i want you to know that you folks make me feel connected

and less lonely in the world and i hope in some small way i can do that for you as well.

A special unfortunate shout out to Brooks, our actual softball team, Yacht Possum, number

three hitter because Brooks is a big Philly fan and last night, bad night for Philly.

We will leave a discussion of that extra inning throw home by the pitcher by the Phillies to a different show.

Instead, we will talk here at the open about the Eagles and kind of getting woodshed by the Giants, laying bare some definite problems with the Eagles right now, which we'll get to in a moment,

but let's start on the positive side of what we observed watching the Thursday Night game.

How can you argue the Giants haven't gotten a huge burst of energy out of their skill position

rookies? In the immediate snapshot, not always possible to tell whether that burst of energy is because

the kids are great and headed for elite careers or if it's more the short-term result of,

I don't know, not being Russell Wilson, but Jackson Dart has certainly injected some energy for the moment.

Energy, such a cliche.

I'm talking like Herb Street.

What we mean is that dude's a really good runner, potentially to his severe medical detriment eventually.

And when the Giants needed it in the second half, he laid in a few really nice

high degree of difficulty throws as well. Will this even be a fantasy ride that you can take

week by week? I mean, if the kid stays upright, I'm skeptical. I think last week against the Saints,
