Israel carried out the largest rescue mission since the war in Gaza began eight months ago.

Four Israeli hostages were rescued in the operation that apparently took weeks of planning,

and the Israeli government says they're all in good medical condition. Their families

called the rescue operation heroic and a miraculous triumph.

Though several Middle Eastern countries condemned the operation since it came at the expense

of hundreds of Palestinian lives.

Gazan health authorities say at least 274 people died and nearly 700 more were hurt.

Once again Israel blames Hamas saying Israeli forces had to enter civilian areas to reach the hostages

since that's where Hamas terrorists have embedded themselves.

Now Hamas leaders have warned things will only get harder for the hostages still left in Gaza,

saying, quote, it will have a negative impact on their conditions and lives.
