Hey my friends, welcome back. This is Carrie Green. I welcome you to the

morning mindset especially if you are a brand new listener. I just love that more and more people are finding the

morning mindset or finding it helpful in aligning their minds with the truth of

God for this day because it's today that matters because it's the only day we really have right now.

And so join me as we're going to dig into 1st Peter chapter 4 again this morning and just

focus in on one small little sentence that the Apostle Peter says to us

he's been going through a list of things that we should be aligning our thoughts around

attitudes we should have as we live in this world.

And the woman that we're looking at today is in verse number 9 of chapter 4, and he says,

show hospitality to one another without grumbling.

Now that is a very interesting concept, the way that he's phrased it, Because hospitality, I think we all understand we have an

entire industry that we refer to as the hospitality industry. And it's places like

restaurants and hotels and things like that that fall into this

industry. They are taking care of people, they are serving people, they are making

their establishments and facilities very welcoming places. making their care of the customer in a way, giving them a good experience.

And Peter is saying it with none of that in mind,

quite honestly.

He's not thinking about hotels and restaurants. He's thinking about hotels and restaurants.

He's thinking about the way a person feels when they meet you,

when they come into your presence, when they come into your home,

when they come into your space at work.

He's talking about the kind of attitude you display toward them, is it hospitable?

...
