Well, nobody's really sure what the fate is of Kate Cox, the Texas woman who desperately needs

an abortion both to save her own life and to be hopefully capable of having children in the

future. She's got a fetus that has trisomy 18 and it has an extra eight chromosome 18,

which means it will die shortly before birth or shortly or immediately after birth.

And the Attorney General for Texas, Ken Paxton, a guy who himself is arguably one of the more

corrupt Republican politicians in America. I realize, you know, uncorrupt Republicans is an

oxymoron, but well, he's under, he's been under a diamond. He survived an impeachment attempt that

was, you know, he only survived it by pure partisanship. You know, I think they fairly accurately

proved the malfeasance that he was guilty of. But anyhow, Kate Cox went to this judge and said,

you know, I have this fetus that is going to die and the process of giving birth to it

is going to rip me up in a way that will prevent me from having future children and might kill me,

will you please let me have an abortion? And the judge said, yes, you can go have an abortion.

The Attorney General for Texas, all of the senior officials in that state are men and Republicans.
