Summary
SPOILERS - Another classic horror movie that we can't seem to agree on. Who do you agree with on this one? Gunned down by Detective Mike Norris (Chris Sarandon), dying murderer Charles Lee Ray (Brad Dourif) uses black magic to put his soul inside a doll named Chucky -- which Karen Barclay (Catherine Hicks) then buys for her young son, Andy (Alex Vincent). When Chucky kills Andy's baby sitter, the boy realizes the doll is alive and tries to warn people, but he's institutionalized. Now Karen must convince the detective of the murderous doll's intentions, before Andy becomes Chucky's next victim.

| 1:06.9 | before Andy becomes Chuckie's next victim. |
| 1:17.3 | So this is a classic 80s slasher, and this really does fit right into the genre of classic 80s slasher's. It's kind of campy. It's bloody. It's violent. And it's, uh, it hits all the 80s |
| 1:24.3 | tropes. My issue with this movie, and I'm going to come right out and say it, as I have issues with this movie, |
| 1:30.1 | is that it came out so late in the game of 80s slashes that this genre was already so watered down by that point. |
| 1:38.5 | We had Black Christmas in the 70s already. |
| 1:41.4 | We had two Texas Chainsaw movies at this time. |
| 1:43.9 | We had four Halloween movies. By the time this movie came out, we had two Texas chainsaw movies at this time. We had four |
| 1:44.5 | Halloween movies by the time this movie came out. We had four nightmare on Elm Street movies by the |
| 1:48.6 | time this movie came out. And we had seven Friday the 13th movies by the time this movie came out. |
| 1:53.8 | And this one didn't really change the game. They didn't really offer anything new. Sure, |
| 1:58.2 | it's a doll that hasn't been done before, but who cares? I think that makes |
| 2:01.5 | it less scary. The fact that it's a stupid little doll coming at you with a knife, just dangang-g-ng, |
